Round 2! Mingling post! GO.

We'll be keeping this informal since I doubt the majority of people are ready to commit right this second.

This is a completely optional post for writers to toss up their possible ideas for this round so potential media creators can hop in and help the process along. People can also cheer on ideas that they would love to read, even if they don't feel they'd be able to create anything for it at this time.

Writers, simply follow this format when posting so everything can look nice and neat:

That will be...much later on most likely and I'll try to include more details before then. We'll see how everything works out before we set any ideas in stone just yet.

SLIGHTLY LESS TENTATIVE IDEA

Fandom: Final Fantasy IV
Characters/Pairings: Kain is the POV character; Rosa, Cecil and a bunch of OCs are all prominently figuring so far. (I just thought about Cid, and, um, not sure if he's going to show up or not. Probably, though. Not like I could keep him out if he wants to show up. :D)
Vague story idea: It's your basic "Kain goes back to Baron at some point after everything's over" idea, except that instead of being welcomed back, the gentry of Baron grab him and force Cecil to toss him in a cell and prepare to try him for high treason. But Cecil doesn't like this idea, and a lot of politics ensue, with the eventual result of civil war. (I am not sure how much of this is going to be shown, considering that Kain is sort of in solitary for the majority of the fic. But I may think of a way to insert a few cutscenes!)
Meanwhile, Kain is imprisoned; barring a few visits from other characters, he's cut off almost completely from the outside world. And to make things weirder, he's beginning to have visions involving Odin, who is more or less revealed to have been Baron's guardian for a long time and who needs sacrifices from brave warriors (like the last king) to continue to protect Baron. This, coupled with Kain's need for redemption, is inevitably going to result in Kain becoming the next sacrifice... IF he can pass its test. Of course, considering that civil war is breaking out and Baron might just be destroying itself from within, he should probably make his decision soon.

Yeah, maybe that was less vague than it could have been. I already have a 6K rough draft; I just have to figure out how to expand it!
