Thank you! I uhhhhh may have sort of incorporated that into my permanent headcanon from that fic you wrote me ages ago (also I'm not sure if it's common fanon that "archfiend" status is somehow related to Zemus's power, but it made its way into my fic as well, so).
Dark Elf being an eidolon was just one of those things that was blindingly obvious once I've thought of it. I was trying to figure out why he was so into the Crystal of Earth, and suddenly...duh, exiled eidolon. And now I can't think of him any way else.
I am working on Part 2 (I feel like this is just a weird fic fragment rather than a complete fic right now, so I'll probably wait to post the completed series on AO3), so hopefully things will get exciting. I didn't realize how BADLY the lack of Edward would fuck things up on the surface when I came up with this idea, but...yeah.
